This walk starts and ends at the Imphal War Cemetery but it takes you back to the years of Manipur’s Second World War experience from 1942 to 1945. The Battle of Imphal, along with the Battle of Kohima, was voted as Britain’s Greatest Battle by the National Army Museum in the UK in 2013. The WWII changed Manipur, or to a larger scale Northeast India, forever. Hear all the stories of the Battle of Imphal and its impact in this very engaging walking tour in the Imphal War Cemetery.
